Advertising dematerialization occurs when a company’s advertising spend with media contracts when shifting its ad dollars from traditional media advertising to digital media advertising.
There are many theories as to why advertising spend decreases when transferred from traditional media to digital media however dematerialization provides the simplest explanation for this economic phenomena.
